Our Programs

   Monthly Outreach lessons are:

  Greater Newark Conservancy’s Education Program offers a variety of hands-on environmentally themed
  lessons to students throughout Newark. Active participation in the programs increases student enthusiasm for,   comprehension and retention of, the material covered. These In-class lessons are taught on a monthly basis
  and last for one class period.

  All Monthly Outreach lessons are:

  • Hands-on
  • Multidisciplinary
  • Science and literacy based
  • Correlated to the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards

  • Tailored to student ability levels
  • Designed using the environment as an integrating context for learning
