Our Programs
Workshops and Field Trips for Adults
The Conservancy’s Greening program expands our community gardener’s horticultural knowledge by
implementing horticultural workshops and field trips. Gardeners from in Newark and surrounding
environs may register for workshops on topics such as: seed starting, garden design, flower
arranging, houseplants and holiday wreath making. Workshops coincide with Greater Newark
Conservancy’s week end Open Garden Days. See Programs Brochure for details.
The Conservancy also runs many fun field trips to the area’s finest horticultural venues.
Some recent field trips have included: New York Botanical Garden, Brooklyn Botanical Garden,
Philadelphia Flower Show, Well Sweep Herb Farm, and a tour of some of Hudson Valley’s finest
wineries.
All workshops and field trips are affordably priced. For more information and to register for workshops
and field trips see our Programs Brochure or call the Conservancy’s Community Greening Coordinator
Bryan Epps at (973) 642-4646 x 31.
