This year we've gone virtual!
Indulge in a day of gardening seminars to wash away the winter blues. This year’s FREE virtual conference will empower communities to enact positive social change in this decade and beyond.
The presentations will encourage participants to contextualize future growth in terms of acts we begin today. The conference will feature workshops and presentations that will lay the groundwork for novice gardeners as they begin their journeys, in addition to sessions that promote the continued education of more advanced gardeners. All participants, regardless of skill level, are also invited to several discussions that explicitly connect small acts of gardening with the larger potential for social justice and change. At the end of the conference, participants will walk away with hard skills and theories that will allow them to plant seeds of change in their communities and beyond.

Guest Speakers & Workshops
Workshops are provided by a hand-picked selection of experts and enthusiasts. Our theme for Beds & Breakfast 2021 is Planting Seeds of Change: Gardening as a Path Towards Empowerment, Justice, and Change. The selected speakers and projects represent gardening and food basics and gardening for environmental injustice. This year our interactive workshops include topics such as gardening 101, compost 101, season extension, building raised beds, seed saving, supporting local food systems, creating your own community garden space, oil health & the environment, and attracting native pollinators.
